Why Partner?

Voice belongs half to the speaker, half to the listener.
                                                           -Michel De Montaigne

Voice comes out of a need to make contact. However, voice work is often done in isolation; the artist internally assessing and judging his own voice. We believe this is counterintuitive and contrary to the spirit of voice; the spirit of communication.

In order to make contact we choose to partner. Partnering allows us a dance, a relationship with those we work with where both parties gain. We have questions that our partners can help us answer. Partnering is about our own growth in the world through journey with others. We do not live in a vacuum. We do not have the all the answers. We do not put faith in our methods to the point of division.

Our process is just that, a process not a 'Method.' Although we bring a wealth of skills to the table we strive to explore new forms of voice and speech work. We do not proselytize one path, but instead strive for a new conversation. Being in relationship, in partnership, is therefore the very heart of VOX, and our very path to new discoveries.
